(In-ground)
- Both tank and drain field are
completely underground

Filled
- Either tank or drain field need
fill sand to achieve proper cover
- Drain field is partially in the
ground and partially out of the ground

Mound (Above Ground)
- Requires fill
sand to build up the bottom of the drain field to the proper level and to achieve proper
shoulder and slope

Lift Station
- Used when natural gravity flow
from the septic tank to drain field can not be achieved.

Grey Water (a.k.a.,
Laundry Systems)
- Systems designed specifically
for the disposal of washing machine liquids which contain
bleaches and detergents that are harmful to your Black Water
System
- Can also include waste from tubs
and showers
